INFORMATION ABOUT THE ECO SHOW
Held in Albany NY at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center, November 14-15, 2008, the ECO Show is the premier event of its kind in Upstate New York and Western Massachusetts. Its’ purpose is to provide a venue that will educate, inform and enlighten both consumers and businesses about eco-friendly "Green" products/services as well as organic alternatives to their lifestyles. It is also an event which provides information about the many forms of alternative, renewable and sustainable energy, as well as conservation, and recycling. We invite you to come and enjoy 100+ exhibitor booths, interactive seminars as well as keynote speakers, who are true advocates and care for our environment.

What is nanotechnology and how it is being applied in the environmental field? This course helps educate participants on the current progress in nanotechnology and it’s benefits for improving our quality of life and that of the environment.
1:30pm-2:30pm - Recycling
What are the current challenges with recycling? What types of materials can be recycled? Join us for this educational seminar to find out what options are available to not only expand current recycling programs, but also what individuals can do in their own communities to proactively help recycling efforts
3:30pm-4:30pm - Alternative Energy
There are many alternatives to oil and coal when it comes to energy. Listen to our panel of experts discuss your options and how you can tap into green sources of power and fuel. It’s easier than you may think.
Saturday, November 15th:
11:00am-12:00pm - Mass Transit, Reurbanization & Brownfields
As more and more people are starting to move back to cities to escape high fuel prices, how is the mass transit system developing to meet the increased demand? Also, how does Brownfield restoration tie in to make the cities we live in more habitable.
12:30pm-1:30pm - Environmental Hazards
Many hazards exist around our homes and businesses. From mold, cleaning supplies, radon, carbon dioxide and more. Learn how to identify environmental hazards in your own environment and how to protect yourself against it.
2:00pm-3:00pm - Nutrition and Organic Foods
Are organic/natural foods any healthier than non organic? What are the facts and myths about organic food and what can people do to improve their health with the food choices they make.
3:30pm-4:30pm - Landfill vs. Waste to Energy
The EPA estimates that the United States produces nearly 220 million tons of trash per year. When recycling efforts have been exhausted, what other methods of disposal are available? Join us to learn the pros and cons of each method and which may ultimately be best for the environment.
